The CIES Publications Committee is pleased to announce a new CIES book series, Education in Global Perspective. This series of books will be published through a collaborative effort between CIES and SUNY Press. It will feature monographs by authors who bring disciplinary and interdisciplinary perspectives to bear on the study of global educational policy and practice in relation to educational access, equity, and quality.
Books in the series will address enduring and emerging questions about the political economy of education; educational policy and practice; educational leadership and planning; educational development and change; learning, teaching, and schooling; educational diversity and underrepresented groups, etc. Books in the series may employ global, cross-national, regional, or other comparisons of educational phenomena; they may use large datasets to conduct quantitative, qualitative, or mixed methods analyses; they may feature multi-sited ethnography; or they may be in-depth or comparative case studies. They may also compare and contrast or trace phenomena historically across sites, scales and systems.
