Travel Tips, Mobile App, and Digital Hub

In light of CIES 2018 Mexico City's rapid approach, we would like to share some great ways to
communicate during the conference — with the launch of TBM Engage, our official event app, and
Crowd360, our conference digital hub (made possible with support from FHI 360).

What's more, as many of you are embark for travel to Mexico, we have some travel tips to keep in mind.
We wish you safe travels and look forward to welcoming you in Mexico City!

Arriving in Mexico City

If you are arriving at the Mexico City International Airport (MEX), we recommend that you use an
authorized taxi company as a reliable form of transportation. You should buy your ticket inside the airport terminal at a stand just outside the immigration area, and then follow their instructions about where to
find the corresponding taxi outside.

Please note that our CIES 2018 team has worked diligently to collect information on tours and excursions
for our conference attendees to enjoy as well. We recommend booking them beforehand which you can do by visiting the Tours page on our conference website. Details on booking private airport transfers are offered
as well.

Finally, make your way to the Conference registration area, which will be located at the Hilton Reforma Hotel. Registration hours are as follows:
  • Saturday, March 24: 1:30 to 7:30 PM
  • Sunday, March 25: 7:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Monday, March 26: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Tuesday, March 27: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
  • Wednesday, March 28: 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Thursday, March 29: 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
As a reminder, conference organizers would like to clarify that Mexico City is not an area of increased risk according to travel advisories. Furthermore, CIES 2018 Mexico City activities will be limited to the Centro Historico area. Please visit the U.S. Department of State website for updates on travel advisories for
Mexico.
