Gender Committee preconference workshop announcement

Preconference Workshop
The Gender Committee will be holding a pre-conference workshop on February 28, 2010. Workshop participants will examine the intersections and interactions among gender and selected concepts, fields, and topics central to current gender and education research in CIES. These may include: sexuality; power; race, class, and ethnicity; vulnerability; citizenship; globalization; religion; learning; poverty; leading; and assessment. Additional information will published in the next newsletter.

Gender Symposium
The Gender Committee will also be hosting its annual Gender Symposium during the 2010 CIES conference. Information about dates and times, topics and speakers, and any additional special events will be included in future newsletters and available on the Gender Committee web site.
