At its Annual Meeting in Salt Lake City, the CIES Board of Directors approved "Policies and Procedures for Development & Activities of CIES Special Interest Groups." Special Interest Groups (SIGs) provide a forum within CIES for the involvement of individuals drawn together by common interest in a field of study. Recognized SIGS will also receive conference space for sessions at the Annual Conference. A SIG must be constituted by at least 15 active CIES members. Detailed information and application procedures are available on the CIES web-site.
