Dear Members:

It is time to send your 300 word abstracts for the Annual CIES
Conference at Stanford on March 22-26, 2005. Abstracts are due by
October 15, 2004. The conference is aiming to achieve a number of
different goals: to give participants a stimulating intellectual
experience, relying mainly on our own members; to take stock of
International and Comparative Education at the start of a new
century; to provide graduate students with feedback on their emerging
scholarship; to introduce the use of communications technology with
some videoconference panels; and finally, to have a good time in
Stanford's beautiful surroundings.

Submitting abstracts on time, and preregistering are two essential
elements in making the conference a success. Consult the CIES website
for more details.
