Aims of the CIES Japan SIG:
The Japan SIG was established in 2007 to create opportunities for ongoing collaboration on future research projects, publications, and grant applications. The Japan SIG is intended to formalize and strengthen communication among scholars of Japan, and to help the larger CIES membership become better acquainted with Japanese education and society.
Membership in the SIG is open to anyone with an interest in education in Japan. Because some of the richest collaborations occur when issues are viewed from quite distinct points of view, scholars from across the disciplinary spectrum are encouraged to join.
