• Progress in International Literacy Study (PIRLS) collects data to provide information on trends in reading literacy achievement of fourth-grade students http://timssandpirls.bc.edu

• Program for International Student Assessment (PISA) assesses how far students near the end of compulsory education have acquired some of the knowledge and skills essential for full participation in society.  www.pisa.oecd.org
