POSITION: General Special Education
STARTING DATE: 
RANK: Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure track)
SALARY: Commensurate with experience and qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate/graduate courses, field supervision, advising students, setting up field placements, curriculum development, program assessment/accreditation reports, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS: 
Earned doctorate in Special Education from an accredited institution (A.B.D. candidates may apply for the position) is required. Successful university level teaching and supervision experiences; three years of successful work experience with children or equivalent clinical experience serving children with disabilities is
also required.

A desirable qualification includes public school experience and a demonstrated commitment to scholarly activity (ability to secure external funding support, scholarly publications, and conference presentations). Other desirable qualifications include: demonstration of collegial teamwork, experience in alternative special education delivery systems which integrate special and general education services, familiarity with CEC standards, and cultural diversity.
