POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

POSITION: Director of Unit Assessment
POSITION CODE: BCAT: 00300X
DEPARTMENT: College of Education, Office of the Dean
SALARY RANGE: Commensurate with qualifications and experience(Sponsored funds)

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required qualifications: A Master’s degree in education, measurement and statistics, business, business management, management information systems or related field; a minimum of 2 years managing student performance data to promote curriculum improvement and, familiarity with a broad range of web-based systems like Banner, Blackboard, or similar technology or the ability to learn new systems and integrate into everyday practice.

Preferred qualifications: a minimum of 2 years experience working in the area of NCATE accreditation, program evaluation or related experience; and, demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a broad range of campus constituencies to promote continuous program improvement.

ILLUSTRATIVE EXAMPLES OF WORK:

• Warehouses all student performance data related to the Unit’s Key Assessments – i.e. GACE scores, course generated candidate performance data, etc. Manipulates data to generate reports as needed for external reporting agencies and programs within the College

• Works collaboratively with IT to develop and maintain a web-based site to warehouse and disseminate student performance data to faculty, program directors, chairs and the dean

• Completes PEDS, Title II, and other annual reports required by external accrediting bodies

• Works collaboratively with faculty to produce reports on student performance data for SPA reports and NCATE

• Works with faculty and staff to ensure the timely completion of semester reports, evaluating student data aggregated at the program, department and unit level
