Research Scientists, APHRC Education Research Program

The Center’s Education Research Program (ERP) is looking to strengthen its research capacity on impact assessment of education policies and interventions. APHRC therefore seeks to urgently recruit a researcher to work on the ERP.

The successful candidate will have strong analytical and excellent communication skills (written and verbal). S/he must be self-motivated, flexible and intellectually curious.

Duties and responsibilities

• Design impact assessment studies;
• Participate in the development of study instruments;
• Contribute to proposal development, literature review, and scientific writing.

Essential

A PhD in applied economics/econometrics or other social sciences with evidence of strong applied quantitative skills.

Desirable

• Evidence of scientific writing using applied economics and/or econometrics, and which has relevance to economics of education;
• Experience in developing study instruments and managing field research projects.
