UREAG Travel Award

30 applications were received and a total of 16 awards were made for 2008.  The awards were in the amounts of $200, $300 or $400.

For the next round, applicants are asked to get in touch with Debby Curry dcurry72@earthlink.net. Debby will be coordinating any awards for the 2009 Conference.

Election of Officers

At the meeting held on March 19, 2008, UREAG elected the following officers:

Moses Oketch- Chair

Deborah Curry -Vice Chair

Mary Ngolvoi - Secretary

The office of treasurer was not filled.

Current and prospective REAG members are asked to express interest by emailing their name to Dubby Curry at dcurry72@earthlink.net.

2009 UREAG program committee

UREAG program committee is in place. Members are asked to express their ideas by contacting Joan Oviawe at JoanOviawe@yahoo.com.

The main program is the Village Dialogue.  Ideas are sought on thematic issues and proposed speakers for the 2009 Village Dialogue.
