Job Summary:
The purpose of the Project Manager position is to provide overall management, strategic direction and leadership to the project. The Project Manager will guide and manage the staff, assets and management systems in the project, so that maximum effectiveness is obtained in terms of reaching project objectives.
Responsibilities:
Provide overall management, strategic direction and leadership to the project.
Promote an enabling environment; liaise with donor, other, cooperating agencies, and Yemeni authorities to ensure coordination of program operations and ensure synergy with existing and future education programs
Liaise with Yemeni authorities in Hajja to ensure that project operations are in compliance with Yemeni and Donor rules and regulations

Qualifications:
A- Specialized Know How
Solid background in management of small teams.
Working knowledge and experience of managing projects with major engineering and construction components.
B- Education and training
Degree or preferably postgraduate qualification in Management, or social science related discipline.
Fluent written and spoken English and preferably Arabic.
C- Experience
Experience in Yemen or Middle East country, in a similar position.
Experience in training, capacity building of organisations and/or managing training programmes.
Experience in managing education programs (or at least one of the technical areas)
D- Technical skills
Excellent report writing skills.
Strong background in DM&E with local/national NGOs
Demonstrable knowledge of and experience in advocacy and policy
E- Human relations skills
Demonstrable commitment to gender-sensitive practices.
