Greenwood Encyclopedia of Children's Issues Worldwide

 

Irving Epstein of Illinois Wesleyan University is the general editor of the recently published Greenwood Encyclopedia of Children's Issues Worldwide (Geenwood Publishing, December, 2007). The six volume encyclopedia, which is the first of its kind and is approximately 2500 pages in length, includes essays on the state of children and youth in one hundred and twenty-six countries by 176 contributors. Longstanding CIES members Sheryl Lutjens, Leslie Limage, and Eleonora Villegas-Reimers edited the volumes on North America and the Caribbean, Europe, and Central and South America respectively. Other notable CIES members who served as contributors include Gerald Fry, Heidi Ross, Gerald LaTendre, and Ernesto Scheifelbein.
