Come to WCCES XIII 2007 in Sarajevo!
The World Council of Comparative Education Societies (WCCES) is holding its World Congress September 3-7, 2007 in Sarajevo. The theme is
Learning to Live Together: Education and Intercultural Dialogue
There are 4 Organising Themes with 12 Thematic groups:
A. Comparative Education

T2.Intercultural Education and Human Rights: Theory and Practice
B. Policy, politics and economics
T3 Language
T4 Higher Education
T5 Education for All
C. Social and Educational Relationships within and between societies
T6 Transition, conflict and post-conflict societies
T7 Ethnicity, Religion, Secularism and Spirituality
T8 Gendered Discourses
D. Teaching and Learning
T9 Teacher Education
T10 Educating Professionals
T11 Indigenous learning
T12 Learning in and out of classrooms
E. Symposia and cross-thematic panels
This programme will consist of plenary sessions and thematic groups, symposia, special workshops, panels etc. on the topics related to the conference, and to local and regional intercultural issues.

Contributors should submit an abstract (not more than
250 words) through the website with a copy to the relevant convenor at the same
time. The deadline for abstracts is 30th
of April 2007. A CD of papers will be produced, and those wanting their
paper on the CD should submit it by 1st June. All information
about the Congress, costs, hotels etc can be found on the website, together
with registration forms and Abstract submission forms.
