 for the

 Honorary Fellows Award


The Honorary Fellows Award was established by the Comparative and International Education Society to honor senior members of the society who have distinguished themselves by their scholarship, teaching/mentoring, and policy, administrative or technical activities in the field of comparative and international education and who have made a significant contribution to the development of the Society and the field by their active participation in its affairs.  Honorary Fellows should have a long and distinguished career spanning more than 30 years.  

 

The CIES Awards Committee invites nominations for the Honorary Fellows Award for the year 2005.  Nomination of candidates must be supported by at least five current members of the CIES and should be submitted to the Awards Committee by 1 November 2005, which is an extension of the normal 1 September deadline.  The nomination must be accompanied by the candidate’s academic vita plus a joint statement from the nominating members concerning the candidate’s qualifications.

 

Nominations of candidates for the Honorary Fellows Award should be submitted to the subcommittee chair, Robert Arnove (arnove@indiana.edu).
