Membership Benefits

The Africa SIG (ASIG) is a great space within CIES to connect with a diverse group of people doing research and projects in Africa in the area of Education and Development.  

ASIG offers the following benefits to members:

• An opportunity to be a part of the community of African and Africanist researchers

• Networking opportunities

• Information on funding opportunities

• Information on job opportunities

• CIES quarterly publication

• Collaboration and publishing opportunities 

We currently have an active membership base as we strive to build our vibrant scholarly community.  ASIG is open to anyone interested in African and Africa's educational research.  Academics, Practitioners and Graduate Students are especially welcomed to join us!

Membership Requirements

Membership in CIES is the only requirement to become an ASIG member.

Send us an email with your request and remit a $10 membership fee to the CIES secretariat:
